Mombasa’s poor drainage

Poor Drainage In Mombasa

WITH just a little downpour, the roads in the city of the Sultan are flooded. But the subjects say,

”Oh hail our Sultan, these are swimming pools you’ve given us and we will swim, and host swimming Olympic games”.

The raw sewage, mixing with flooded water, and stinking sewers everywhere. But the slaves say,

”Oh hail our Sultan, the fragrance are pleasant to us, long live our king, this fresh shit is high quality myrrh from Ethiopia”

With the subjects wading on flooded streets like ducks, but they say,

”Oh hail the Sultan,  long live forever,  we know you have a blue print to dry the whole ocean and extend our empire to the edges of Seychelles”.

Thus the slavery brought by sultan Said Seyyid,  after he transferred his headquarters from Muscat to Zanzibar in 1856 to make him and his descendants have full political control over East African coast, might not have ended with independence. An enslaved mindset is more dangerous than cyanide! Oh hail the Sultan of failures!!
