Al shabaab terrorists attack US-Kenya Naval base in Lamu, Kenya.

Hours after US President Donald Trump tweeted that the US would unleash its newly acquired sophisticated weapons against Iran if any of its interests are attacked, Al Shabaab militants have attempted a daring raid at US-Kenya Naval base in Manda Island, Lamu.

The 4 am siege targeted the fortified Camp Simba base at Manda-Magogoni, on Sunday, Lamu County. The heavily armed terrorists invaded Camp Simba, which has US and Kenyan soldiers and has been a key facility in the US War against terrorism in East and the entire horn of Africa. Reports indicate that the invaders were successfully repulsed. The  Somalia-based terror group has already claimed responsibility for the attack.

KDF aircraft  responded with bombings.
The militants are reported to have come from Hindi area. Electricity had been disconnected before the attack happened. Four bodies of terrorists were found at the airstrip and a huge plume of smoke was still billowing from the base by the time of going to press. It remains unknown whether this attack is connected to Iran’s threats of retaliating against US killing of senior Quds’ force Commander Gen. Soleimani.
